National Awards

Modestine Haynes Memorial Scholarship

The Modestine Haynes Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an individual to assist them achieve their educational goal. There are two scholarship tiers. Tier 1 is geared for grade GS 9 and below applicants. Tier 2 is geared towards GS 10/IR 08 and above. The applicant must be an IRS employee for each tier.
Shirley Ray Memorial Scholarship

The Shirley Ray Scholarship was established in 2012 to acknowledged Shirley’s strong commitment to Education of inner city youth, Community outreach and AIM-IRS. Her leadership in Detroit led to other chapters taking the torch and establishing similar partnerships educating inner city youth on computer skills.

DFW Chapter Scholarship

National Scholarships

Annually AIM-IRS presents three national awards to members at the National AIM-IRS Annual Business Meeting and Training Seminar (ABMTS). Those awards are the Bobby Wyche, Wyatt Trent and EEO Meritorious Awards.

Bobby Wyche Award
Awarded to an individual who has shown personal dedication to the organization. Nominees should have served the organization above and beyond the call of duty and serve as role models for other members.

Wyatt Trent Award
Recognizes organizational excellence. Nominees should have made a contribution which has had a positive impact on the

EEO Meritorious Award
Recognizes contributions to Equal Employment Opportunity which have a national impact on the Service and/or AIM-IRS.

The purpose of the AIM-IRS DFW Chapter scholarship program is to financially assist DFW Area Chapter Members, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees, and other qualified applicants to obtain educational and career objectives through formal education at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.


  • Must be a U. S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to provide proof of enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution (acceptance letter for recent high school graduates or college transcript for current attendees).
